What gets me is when a local weather "personality" promotes his or her program by teasing us with "snow in our future; more at 11." That is, self-promotion rather than information.

Actually Ryan did this to me at about the same age as your little guy. Luckily there was an open window in the living room, but it was a 1940's house & it was one of those very small windows for ventilation only...certainly not the size for a full grown woman to crawl through. Luckily, a neighbor boy was playing across the street. We hoisted him up & into the window. Ryan thought this was all a great game! He laughed the entire time or watched in complete amazement, although his mother was dying just a bit with each minute.

You never forget these 'adventures'. Ry is 36 & I remember how I felt as though it was yesterday....

Hi Gregg,

Lenny's is a great place for subs. Its located on 87th St same strip mall as Westlake. The Chicken Salad sandwich is so good. If you like Italian, Grozzo's on College Blvd. near Corporate Woods, has the best Chicken Spedini...its to die for!

My daughter locked me outside while I placed some clothes outside to drip. I paniced too. Luckily the landlady came by and let me in. It is a horrible feeling to be helpless.

Oh man, so disappointing about "V." I too remember being both titillated (even though I was almost too young to understand titillation in general) and horrified by the original. Thanks for the heads up, though.
